Concert in the Rocks 2014

Lone Pine Film History Museum
Announces June Concert

Jazz Comes West
Saturday June 7th 2014

Throughout the World the unique embodiment of “American Jazz” and the iconic interpretation of the “American Cowboy” symbolize “The American Spirit of the 20th Century.”

Their legacy converges on June 7th in Lone Pine California as
Jazz Comes West will bring the sound of jazz legends like
Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong and Nat King Cole, to the back lot of America’s cowboy aristocracy – Roy Rogers, Hopalong Cassidy and The Lone Ranger.

Every June, the Lone Ranger Canyon, located in the magnificent Alabama Hills, is transformed into an “under the stars” venue for hosting Lone Pine’s annual – “Concert in the Rocks.”

The evening begins with a welcoming reception in the museum for annual members. Following the reception, members and other attendees are transported to the Alabama Hills for a steak dinner preceding the show.

The entertainment starts as early stars grace the evening sky and the setting sun’s shadows become long on the canyon. Soon, veiled lights create unique and mysterious shadows on the canyon walls. Cinematic Memories of our Western film heroes become freshly imagined as if it were a long ago Saturday matinee.

Highlights are below. Complete details, biographies of artists and links to their music are available @ http://lonepinefilmhistorymuseum.org/Concert
