Very sadly, we are being forced to cancel the Wild Wild West Marathon, 10 Mile and Ultras on May 6th because of the extreme amount of water runoff from the unprecedented amount of winter snow. The course is impassable in places, roads are closed or washed out, trails are damaged, and it is possible that Route 395—the only route in and out of Lone Pine—may close in the coming weeks due to this flooding. Our permitting agencies are shutting us down due to these uncontrollable circumstances. We are extremely sorry for this bad news as the City of Lone Pine, the Chamber, and the many businesses depend on your support on race weekend. Thank you for your understanding.
